Since 2008, Fritz Kling has advanced the philanthropic objectives of Jack and Marilyn DeBoer as the President of DeBoer Foundation, Inc. Over the past 20 years, he has run two family foundations. Fritz began his career as a trust and estate lawyer and then worked as the Director of Development at the University of Richmond, where he specialized in planned giving. Fritz serves on several charitable Boards. He is a founder of Richmond Christian Leadership Initiative, Metro Richmond at Prayer, and The Carver Promise.
Fritz earned a BA from Duke University in Political Science, and he holds a JD from the University of Richmond.
Sandy Parr is a Senior Associate with the DeBoer Foundation, Inc. where her primary responsibilities are leading the foundation’s evolving efforts in Kansas. Sandy was a key figure in the design, development, and implementation of the DeBoer Fellowship in Myanmar. Sandy joined DeBoer Foundation after spending the majority of her career in business development with Nestle, Rhone Poulenc Rorer, and Schering.
Sandy earned a BS in Business Administration and BS in Communications from Kansas State University.
Kyle Sherman is a Senior Associate with the DeBoer Foundation, Inc. where he is deeply involved in strategy, operations, Myanmar grantmaking, and DeBoer Fellowship curriculum development. Kyle previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for High Impact Philanthropy, and before that, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Kyle earned a BS in Biology from Davidson College, and he holds an MPH and MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
Jena Kitchen is an Associate with the DeBoer Foundation, Inc. where she does a variety of project-based work related to content generation and program development. She has worked at the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce/Virginia Hispanic Foundation, 3e Restoration, Inc., and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Institute for Inclusion, Inquiry and Innovation.
Jena earned a BA in Sociocultural Anthropology and BA in Global Studies from the College of William & Mary.
